ABOUT MPS
MPS builds fixed-base FSTDs for professional flight training, certified under JAA/EASA and FAA regulations.

Our Business
Multi Pilot Simulations BV (MPS) designs and manufactures flight simulation training devices (FSTDs), or flight simulators, as we call them, for the professional flight training industry. Our simulators are designed and manufactured in-house to the highest quality standards while remaining very cost-effective. These simulators are designed to be certified according to European JAA/EASA and American FAA regulatory standards.
We are based in Groenekan, The Netherlands, about 20 minutes away from Amsterdam's Schiphol Airport.
The Origin of MPS
MPS was formally founded in 2007 by Dick Verburg, Martijn Niekerk and Iskander Hannivoort in Groenekan, a small town at the edge of Utrecht, The Netherlands.
Prior to founding MPS, Dick Verburg was CEO and founder of European Pilot Selection and Training (EPST), a leading flight training organisation. Since 2003, the three MPS-founders collaborated on the certification process of EPST's first fixed-base Boeing 737-800 simulator. EPST's plan was to use this simulator to provide multi-crew coordination (MCC) courses on a large, current airline type, thus providing a better and much more comprehensive training experience than competing programs and a more streamlined transition to the students' first airline job. Since then, many students have found airline jobs through EPST and many employers are positively impressed by the level of relevant experience and the high quality of the EPST students.
After successful certification of EPST's simulator, the founders started expanding on the idea to design and build a range of affordable airline fixed-base simulators in a new company. Verburg's expertise and knowledge of the market laid the foundation for MPS and after performing a feasibility study and preparations in 2005/06, MPS was formally founded in 2007 along with a small team of shareholders.
Since then, the philosophy and vision has remained the same:
- Improving aviation safety by better training using fixed-base simulators
- Giving operators an edge in the market by using superior simulators at unbeatable value-for-money
- Providing the ability to train pilots to optimum competency without worrying about simulator costs
In 2011, Mainport Innovation Fund became a formal investor in MPS.
Our Clients
MPS has a world-wide client base ranging from FTOs tot TRTOs and airlines. Our devices are certified under JAA/EASA and FAA regulatory standards but local certification is also possible.
